You may remember that, back in June, we promised an update on what manuscripts we’d selected from the queries we’d been reviewing. Turns out, there was just one for now . . . with some other projects still being evaluated for potential publication down the road. We’ve communicated with everyone still “in the running” in case you are wondering what became of your query or submission. So, later this Fall, we’ll have a chapbook from Lisa Lopez Smith. More on that soon. Or, y’know, just as likely, it could suddenly show up.
As for more submissions, for the time being, the press is closed to queries and we won’t have another “open reading” in the foreseeable future.
And like many of you, we’re also sad about the recent, sudden passing of GBP friend Jennifer Martelli. She published two chapbooks (Afterbird and Dear Justice) with the press, and we’d have loved to have some more. Certainly gone too soon.
